Membership Opportunities at Singers Glen Volunteer Fire Company

At Singers Glen Volunteer Fire Company, we offer two distinct types of membership to suit different levels of involvement. No matter your skills or interests, there's a place for you in our community.

1. Regular Membership

Regular membership is designed for individuals who aspire to become active Firefighters or Emergency Medical Service (EMS) providers. As a regular member, you'll play a direct role in responding to emergencies, participate in department operations, hold leadership roles, and attend company functions.

• Eligibility: Open to individuals 18 years or older. Junior members, aged 16-18, are also welcome and will transition to regular membership upon turning 18.
• Training: New members are encouraged to complete the Firefighter I course within their first year of joining. All necessary training, gear, and equipment are provided at no cost to you.
• Expectations: All we ask is your dedication, a willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic.

2. Associate Membership

For those who may not wish to serve on the frontlines but still want to make a meaningful contribution, associate membership is an excellent option. As an associate member, you will support the fire company in various non-emergency capacities, such as fundraising, assisting at events, and helping to boost morale for our active duty firefighters.

• Eligibility: There are no specific requirements for associate membership beyond a desire to serve your community.
• Role: While you won't be responding to emergencies, your efforts will directly support the safety and operations of the fire company.
